EG2000 Electronic Engine Speed Controller

The Thunder Parts EG2000 Electronic Engine Speed Controller is designed to form a complete electronic engine governor assembly when paired with a compatible actuator and magnetic pickup sensor. Operating within a working voltage of 12 or 24 VDC, this controller manages engine speed and fuel intake by receiving signals from the MPU and adjusting the actuator response based on the engine RPM. It features an adjustable idle speed and ramp to help control engine smoke, vibration, and warm-up periods effectively. Designed for professional generator and engine control applications, the unit delivers stable performance across a wide frequency range and accommodates various operational demands.

This closed-loop electronic controller features a range of parameter adjustment potentiometers including droop, gain, integral loop stability, ramp time, speed, and idle settings, alongside a DIP switch for frequency selection across ranges from 600Hz to 9500Hz. It maintains a stable speed variation range of less than plus or minus 0.25 percent under stable loads and includes remote speed adjustment capabilities via a compatible potentiometer. The robust internal circuitry is engineered to support an average operating current of 2.5 to 3.5 amps, with the capacity to handle up to 15 amps maximum during engine start-up or sudden load changes.

Built to withstand demanding operational environments, the EG2000 functions reliably within an operating and storage temperature range of minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius and supports a relative humidity of 95 percent or less. The unit is rated for vibration resistance up to 3G at 100Hz to 2KHz, making it suitable for deployment in challenging industrial settings. It is applicable for use with steam, diesel, and natural gas engines, providing precise closed-loop management with high sensitivity and minimal speed fluctuation under varying operational conditions.
